Screen Australia implements FileMaker Pro system for Grant Funding

Screen Australia is the government funding body for development and production of film and television in Australia. To manage the application, evaluation and distribution of grant funding, Insightful Systems has developed a new FileMaker Pro based solution - FFIS (Film Funding Information System)

This FileMaker Pro driven solution manages all facets of the funding process including:

  • Establishment of grant budgets, definition of available programs and application receipt timelines
  • Application processing wizard that streamlines the entry of all application particulars
  • Linking of applications to previously received applications and/or titles (film or television)
  • Awarding of funding amounts, scheduling of payments to applicants and recording or re-payment obligations
  • Statistical reporting of funding based on multiple criteria; gender, state, production type, etc.

Insightful Systems are based in Melbourne, Australia and specialise in the development of custom database solutions using FileMaker Pro. Managing Director, Shaun Cotter explained, "The new FFIS system provides a solid framework for recording of all information relating to the funding process. By linking previous applications to a single title it's possible to see a comprehensive history of a title, from initial scripting through to filming and post production. This reduces the clerical effort required to answer queries, providing staff with the answers they are looking for fast."

Insightful Systems develop database solutions for clients in Australia and overseas across a broad range of industries. To learn more about how Insightful Systems can help your business speak with Shaun Cotter on 0419 324 385.
