New Interface for Insightful Framework

The team at Insightful Systems have recently completed a major upgrade of our standard framework database. This FileMaker solution, used a starting point for our custom client solutions and internally to manage our own client projects is constantly evolving. Like a group of busy bower birds, we take the best ideas and techniques we discover and weave them into a cohesive, powerful solution.

Our previous releases used a custom interface to provide record navigation, searching and standard features like New, Delete and Duplicate.

After reading about a FileMaker Devcon presentation discussing the benefits of using the native FileMaker interface controls we decided to take the leap and use as much of the standard FileMaker interface elements as possible.

Simple interfaces provide all the relevant information at your fingertips.

By using the standard FileMaker interface elements we've simplified our overall design, reduced maintenance issues and prepared ourselves for the introduction of style based layouts in the future (if you believe the rumour mill).
