Online bookings for The French Experience

The French Experience specialise in booking travel, accommodation and activities for individuals or groups wishing to experience the best France has to offer. The French Experience website provided extensive details regarding accommodation and travel but had no integration with the back office bookings process.

After establishing a new, FileMaker based booking management system, The French Experience employed the services of Insightful Systems to develop a quote acceptance mechanism that all owed customers to select from various quote options and make deposit payments online.

This reduced the clerical effort required for The French Experience staff while also ensuring that customers could confirm their booking quickly, particularly important when securing accommodation during peak season. Data submitted via the web interface goes directly into the back-end database, streamlining the booking process.

Managing Director, Stephane Guerin explained "Previously we relied on email communication which was slower, affecting the overall booking process. With the online booking form interfaced directly to our internal database, bookings are handled quickly and with no fuss. Our customers feel in control and both parties receive a receipt email when the booking is confirmed. The overall working experience with Insightful Systems has been very satisfying.
